About this project

D3 (Data-Driven Documents) is a free, open-source JavaScript library for visualizing data on the web using SVG, Canvas and HTML. Rather than offering ready-made chart types, it takes a low-level approach built on web standards, giving authors fine-grained control over dynamic, data-driven graphics. Over more than a decade it has powered many notable visualizations, served as a foundation for higher-level chart libraries, and grown a large community of data practitioners.
