About this project
Kubernetes, also known as K8s, is an open source system for managing containerized applications across multiple hosts, providing the basic mechanisms for deploying, maintaining, and scaling them. It draws on a decade and a half of Google's experience running production workloads at scale with its internal Borg system, combined with ideas and practices from the wider community. Written in Go and hosted by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, it serves teams running container-packaged, dynamically scheduled, microservices-oriented software in production.
