About this project
Hermes Agent is a self-improving AI agent built by Nous Research, written primarily in Python. It has a built-in learning loop: it creates skills from experience, refines them during use, persists knowledge, searches its own past conversations, and builds a deepening model of the user across sessions. It runs on a cheap VPS, a GPU cluster, or serverless infrastructure and can be driven remotely, for example from Telegram while it works on a cloud VM. It supports any model provider, including Nous Portal, OpenRouter, OpenAI, or a custom endpoint, switchable without code changes.
